Valencia injury blow
Only yesterday we relayed how Antonio Valencia is expected to be facing a lengthy spell out following successful surgery on his foot, and now we can provide another timely little update.
One man sure to be cursing his luck is Valencia himself, who reports say is looking at around five months out.
United themselves haven’t yet put a guideline date on his return, which is interesting, but it’s now claimed he won’t be featuring again until well into the New Year.
Januzaj's loan return
In other news, Adnan Januzaj won’t have time called on his loan in order to return to Old Trafford early, or so says Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc.
Earlier this week reports said Van Gaal was considering a recall for the Belgian - Zorc, however, said that wasn’t an issue to contemplate.
It remains to be seen whether or not Januzaj would push for a return if United genuinely wanted him back.

And to finish, former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has predicted that Chelsea will finish above the Red Devils irrespective of their current league positions.
The Blues are struggling to effectively compete in the Premier League this year - a fact that might end up costing Jose Mourinho his job - but Sky Sports pundit Merson believes they still have what it takes to trump Van Gaal’s side.
In Merson’s words, he fancies Chelsea ‘to edge it’. We’re sure there are plenty of United fans ready to dispute the opinion.
