Viva la Raza! Today marks ten years since the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. The Latino superstar was a revolutionary wrestler, helping bring in high-risk maneuvers and Lucha Libre wrestling style into mainstream wrestling alongside the likes of Rey Mysterio.

He also showed that you didn't have to be a large wrestler in order to put on great matches, as he had several awesome bouts against Mysterio, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko across his career. Below is a list of some of his top moments in his WWE career.

If you don't have a WWE Network subscription, now might be the time to get one to relive all these amazing moments!

Becoming WWE Champion

One of Guerrero's most memorable moments from his career was his match against Brock Lesnar at the No Way Out pay-per-view for the WWE Championship in 2004. This was arguably one of his best achievements of his career, as he reached the top of the WWE ladder for the first time in his career. This was also when Guerrero joined the elite club of Grand Slam Champions.

Against a young Beast, Latino Heat showed off his Lucha Libre wrestling style in true fashion throughout the match. The crowd was on his side and he topped off the match with a frog splash from the top rope and pinned Lesnar for the championship.

Top of the cage Frog Splash

The Frog Splash was Guerrero's finishing move, but there was one which stood out to me the most, and that was the one against JBL during an episode SmackDown in July 2004 in a Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship.

This was Latino Heat's rematch for the championship after losing it to JBL at The Great American Bash pay-per-view. The Frog Splash from the top of the cage looked like it was enough to win the championship back, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

WrestleMania XX and celebrations

The final moment on this list is Guerrero's WrestleMania XX match against Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. Latino Heat was still holding the title at the time in March 2004 while Angle had earned a title shot by winning against The Big Show and John Cena at No Way Out.

The match against Angle was beautiful and one of his best, hitting a nice DDT and Frog Splash. He then outsmarted Angle and his ankle lock hold by undoing his laces on his boot outside. When it was in place, he pushed against him, releasing the hold. He followed it up with a roll-up pin and retained the championship.

Later on in the evening, his friend Benoit won the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H and Shawn Michaels. After the match, Guerrero came down to the ring with his WWE Championship and the two celebrated side by side in the middle of the ring as the confetti dropped on their heads, sparking a great WrestleMania moment and one which many WWE fans remember the most.
