The 37-year-old, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports alongside former United captain Gary Neville, was booed - light-heartedly, of course - throughout the match but couldn’t resist reacting to the fans’ banter at one point. (Scroll down this page to see the video).
Carragher turned around to the supporters and waved his hand up in the air (again, it’s important to note it was all in good spirits).

Carragher retweeted the following video, which shows him reacting to the United fans.
And on Saturday, he admitted he would have been disappointed had the Old Trafford faithful not jeered him throughout the match.
“Won 3-1 in the UNICEF charity game at Old Trafford & was booed for 90 mins as I should be!” he tweeted, alongside a photo of some of the stars who took part, including David Beckham and Ronaldinho.

The Liverpool legend might have wished he’d gone to Singapore instead, where the likes of Didi Hamann, Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman recorded a 2-0 win over Manchester United Masters.
At least Carragher was on the winning team...
But even though he was booed, it seems the thick-skinned Carragher enjoyed the experience.
He was on the winning side as goals from Paul Scholes and Michael Owen helped secure a 3-1 victory for Great Britain and Ireland over the Rest of the World.
