Gerrard doesn't want Lampard comparisons
Steven Gerrard is a legend in his own right within the realms of football, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have to deal with comparisons to other greats of the game, namely Frank Lampard.
Gerrard said that he had hoped people would cease comparing him with his former international teammate after he moved to the MLS, though it hasn’t yet stopped.
The Liverpool hero hinted at annoyance on the topic - probably best not to aim any Lampard-centric comments at him.
"I was hoping people would finally stop comparing me with Frank after moving here. He's a legend and certainly one of those high-end players who will help lift the quality of this league," Gerrard said.
"But we've both drawn a line under our England careers so I don't see any reason why we should bring that topic up again. It was always a media thing - we get along just fine."

Sterling's agent comments
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling’s now infamous agent, Aidy Ward, has aimed another jibe at Liverpool, accusing them of forcing the midfielder to do things that would impede his development.
Ward said the Reds had made Sterling play as a full-back, and talked up the different approach Man City have taken.
Aldridge on Sakho blow
Lastly, John Aldridge has had his say on the injury sustained by French defender Mamadou Sakho and believes it’s a massive blow for the club.
Sakho was enjoying arguably his best period of football at Anfield since joining Liverpool but was forced off through injury during the recent loss to Crystal Palace.
Aldridge, for what it’s worth, said the player would be a loss for Jurgen Klopp moving forward. It’s evident that most fans agree:
