Stars from Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and other Premier League teams have returned to their clubs after tonight’s international friendly between Belgium and Spain was postponed for security reasons.
In a statement, the Belgian soccer federation - per the London Evening Standard - confirmed the game will not go ahead.
"The URBSFA (federation) was contacted by the government this evening and advised not to organise the Belgium-Spain match tomorrow evening," the statement reads. "We deeply regret that such a friendly match between two motivated teams is cancelled so late and we understand the disappointment of many supporters.”

The news comes days after last Friday’s shocking terrorist attacks in Paris, which left 129 people dead.
One of those locations targeted was the Stade de France, where France and Germany were playing out an international friendly.
Premier League stars to return to clubs
This latest update means Chelsea stars Eden Hazard, Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta and Cesc Fabregas, Liverpool’s Christian Benteke, Manchester United duo David de Gea and Juan Mata, Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla and other Premier League stars will return to their respective clubs ahead of this weekend’s league fixtures.
England v France to go ahead
All other international friendly - including England v France at Wembley Stadium - are still expected to go ahead as usual this evening.
