Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic has insisted that Serbian compatriot Nemanja Matic has told him that Premier League giants Chelsea are interested in his services.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Grujic has declared, however, that he doesn't expect to depart Belgrade in the New Year but has admitted that a summer transfer is feasible.
At just 19-years-old, Grujic looks set for a bright future in the game, so it's not entirely surprising that a number of European clubs have been linked with his signature recently.

In fact, the same report from the Mail claims that the Premier League trio of Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton all have an interest in the dynamic midfielder.
But, with Matic plying his trade at Stamford Bridge, it appears that Grujic is well aware of Chelsea's interest in him.
When speaking about the prospect of moving on, Grujic stated: "Nemanja Matic is a friend, he's Serbian and he has been at Chelsea for over a year. He tells me that they want me.
"Right now I am at Red Star, we are top of the table and I want to win the title here. I don't think that I'll be moving in January, but there's definitely more of a chance in June."
The potential addition of Grujic would no doubt prove to be a fine long-term coup for all involved in west London, but they must take immediate action on the transfer scene.
It has been a dismal start to the season for Chelsea and the club's dynamic must change sooner rather than later. Sitting in 16th position in England's elite division, the Blues have it all to secure a place in the top four.
January signings will be key, of course; Mourinho must bring in the right names to help fire his side up the table. There's clearly a lack of belief in the Chelsea squad right now, so something has to transpire over the coming weeks and months.
