Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio has said in a recent interview that he would return to the WWE on a part-time basis, and he also elaborated on why he left in the first place.
Mysterio left the WWE in February when his contract expired and said while the money was good, he missed his family, and this was a deciding factor behind his departure.

He said: "Never say never, but I'm very pleased and happy where I'm at. I'm enjoying life at my fullest. Sometimes you realize that money isn't everything. I made good money at WWE and traveled the world, and interacted with my fans, but I missed a lot of family time. That really hits me.
"My son is 18, almost going to college. My daughter is going to be 15 next year, and she's growing up fast. If the opportunity came, and it wasn't too committed, why not?
"Yes, I wanted that time, and I wanted to heal up. It's not even been a year, and I feel great, When you're in WWE, it's a part of that contract signing, that grind. You're on-call 24-7. That's why you become the star that you are."
Mysterio should be welcomed back in open arms if he ever decided to return to the WWE on a part-time basis. WWE is still looking to reconnect with its latino audience as evidenced by the return of Alberto Del Rio and the recent push of The Lucha Dragons, with Kalisto going far in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
A Mysterio return can only mean good things for the WWE. His return would encourage a boost in mask sales, and also his high-flying and high-risk move set adds towards a dimension in the company which has been lacking recently on the main roster.
