Manchester United fans; hands up who remembers Bebe. All of you do? Good. Now how many of you saw him in action and thought to yourself; this guy reminds me of a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Hello? Anyone there?
Of course no one thinks that; that's apart from Bebe himself of course. The Portuguese winger arrived at Old Trafford in 2010 for £7 million, despite the fact that Sir Alex Ferguson had never seen play in the flesh.
He managed just seven games for the Red Devils and scored just twice before being moved on under a cloud of controversy.

Ronaldo on the other hand laid the foundations for one of the most remarkable football careers of all time at Manchester United following his switch from Sporting Lisbon in 2003. In six seasons at Old Trafford, the prolific winger managed 84 goals, helping his team win the Champions League and 2008 on his way to the Ballon d'Or in the same year.
He then went on to become the most expensive player in the world following his £80 million switch to Real Madrid in 2009.

In other words; all things Bebe never got anywhere near achieving. However, that's not stopped the Portuguese journeyman, who is now rebuilding his career at Rayo Vallecano on loan from Benfica, from claiming the two have similar style while discussing his football idols.
He told AS: "(Didier) Drogba, but also Cristiano because he’s Portuguese. I have the same way of running, and the same shooting style, he’s definitely a favourite."
Bebe also admitted that he thought his now-infamous move to Manchester United was a joke.
"It all happened very quickly, a total surprise," he explained. "One day I’m training and the next they’re telling me that I’m going to sign a five-year contract. I thought it was a joke. I wasn’t there long, but I enjoyed it.
"It was a lot of kids’ dream, it was insane. I was playing with the best in the world. It wasn’t easy, the first week I had to breathe deeply, but I got used to it. I got used to it and tried to fit in. I came there without much of an education, just what I was born with: talent, speed, strength... but you needed more. If a big club signed me now it’d be different."
Is Bebe the worst signing in Manchester United's history?
