Chelsea supporters will be delighted to hear that Willian, the Blues’ most outstanding player of the season so far, produced an impressive individual performance for Brazil in their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Peru on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old failed to make a significant impact in the qualifier against Argentina several days ago - although he still managed to produce THIS fabulous piece of skill - but was back to his best in the 3-0 win over Peru.
Willian produced a superb assist for Douglas Costa’s opening goal - scroll down this page to watch that - and spent a total of 84 minutes on the pitch before being subbed off for his Chelsea teammate Oscar, with the three points already safely secured.

For the game’s opening goal, Willian stood up his marker on the right flank before exchanging a neat one-two with a teammate. He then beat a second defender before fizzing a brilliant ball across the face of goal - Peru goalkeeper Diego Penny stood no chance of getting a touch - allowing Costa to apply the finish from a yard out.

Chelsea need Willian fit for Saturday
Jose Mourinho will no doubt have been keeping tabs on his players’ performances this week and it’s safe to assume that Willian will be the first name on the team-sheet for this weekend’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Norwich City at Stamford Bridge.
Willian is currently Chelsea’s joint-top scorer in the Premier League this season with two goals - yes, that’s how bad things have been in recent months - and the fans will be praying he arrives back to west London ready to go again following an exhausting trip and two matches in South America.
