Chelsea fans, happy Wednesday!
We’d like to welcome you to today’s effort at something resembling a round-up. If there’s credible transfer news, we have it, if there’s breaking injury news, we have it, if there’s… you get the point.
Watch the video above to see yours truly hand you the headlines on a silver platter, or read on below if you’re that way inclined.
Chelsea fans probably haven’t heard of Marko Grujic as he’s a midfielder for Red Star Belgrade, but the player himself has hinted he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge soon.
At just 19-years-old he’s still got some developing to do, but apparently he’s been told by Nemanja Matic that the Blues are aiming to sign him in the future.
We’ve only got Grujic’s word for it, but he’s apparently friends with Matic, so there’s that.
"Nemanja Matic is a friend, he's Serbian and he has been at Chelsea for over a year. He tells me that they want me.
"Right now I am at Red Star, we are top of the table and I want to win the title here. I don't think that I'll be moving in January, but there's definitely more of a chance in June."
In other news, one man who won’t be moving to Stamford Bridge is Gonzalo Higuain.
The striker has been loosely linked with Chelsea in the past but has absolutely no intention of departing Napoli, according to his brother.
His brother also serves as his agent, so we’re inclined to believe him.
It's a shame, cause he really is very good:
Last but not least, Willian showed last night that he remains in a fine vein of form, notching a brilliant assist during Brazil’s win over South American rivals Peru.
The Chelsea playmaker has started off this season well, despite the Blues’ obvious struggles, and his ball for Douglas Costa to tap in - which can be viewed below - was something joyous to behold.
