Arsenal fans were left frustrated with their side - and manager Arsene Wenger - after their surprise 2-1 defeat against West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Olivier Giroud had given the Gunners the lead as they looked to keep the pressure on at the top of the table following Manchester United's win against Watford earlier on in the day - but James Morrison levelled things up with 35 minutes gone.
The match was then turned on its head as Mikel Arteta put the ball into his own net to make it 2-1 - after he came on as a replacement for Francis Coquelin, who picked up what looked to be a serious injury.
That was just the start of the drama however as Arsenal's pressure looked like it had finally paid off when the visitors were handed a penalty late on. Santi Cazorla stepped up to take the spot kick, only to slip and put his effort over the bar with just five minutes remaining - much to the dismay of his Arsenal team-mates.
That wasn't the end of the matter as referee Mark Clattenburg decided that the penalty needed to be re-taken because of encroachment in the area, only to change his mind and award a goal-kick.
Arsenal fans were quick to criticise Clattenburg for his decision making afterwards, however the Gunners managed just two shots on target all game as the north London side slipped back in the title race, with Manchester City still to play.
The Gunners' faithful did have one reason to grumble however - the lack of options at Wenger's disposal in the middle of the park following Coquelin's injury cost them dear, and could do further damage depending on how long the Frenchman is out.
Having missed out on the chance to go top this afternoon, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to air their opinions - you can check out the rest of their reaction below:
