This Sunday, WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view is set to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after a series of matches hosted on Raw and SmackDown which decided the four semi-finalists. Roman Reigns, who fans predict to win the gold, will face off against the United States Champion Alberto Del Rio in a bid to book himself a place in the final of the championship tournament.
But what makes Reigns so worthy to claim the 'star-studded' position as the new face of the company? Here're five reasons why Roman Reigns should become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion this Sunday.
#5 HE EARNED IT
Roman has his haters, and considering the amount of abuse he received after winning the Royal Rumble, it's amazing how quickly he's turned those feelings around. Lately, he has more fans behind him than those opposed. The reason? The matches Reigns has produced this year have been clinical. He's been very impressive all year; an all round improvement. The Roman of last year was just not good enough. This year, Roman is ready.

#4 IMMENSE IMPROVEMENT
Looking back on WrestleMania 32, it was crystal clear that Reigns was not ready for a championship run. Fast forward to October 2015 and you can see he's improved immensely in-ring and on the mic. Yes, he still needs work on his ability to cut a promo, Reigns may never be as good as The Rock or CM Punk in mic skills, but he can hold his own. It's said that Vince McMahon writes all of Roman's promos. This could indicate why some are so bad.
#3 NEW TALENT ON THE TITLE SCENE
The WWE title picture has consisted of the same wrestlers vying for the title for far too many years. John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus etc. This to fans is seen as very boring and repetitive and although these superstars are talented, something fresh is needed to keep ratings up and fans happy.
#2 TIME FOR A NEW FACE TO STEP UP
While John Cena is away from duties, its time for a new face to step up, but who? Roman Reigns. Besides, who else is there beside Roman, he has the look and everything WWE need to carry the business into the next generation. John Cena has been the face for over a decade, we need something fresh.
#1 ROMAN IS READY
Roman has won back the majority of those whose turned on him after winning the rumble. He was given a huge push over a fan favourite Daniel Bryan, which was the wrong move at the time. With the ratings so low this year and Seth Rollins out with injury, WWE should look towards Roman as 'The Man' as Triple H would say.
His match with Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell has proved he is a bona fide main event superstar. Also, he no longer has a limited move set of just the spear of the superman punch, he seems to have added a lot more firepower to his arsenal. He needs to win the title at Survivor Series to ensure that he can prove he can carry himself as a legitimate champion, which I believe he will.
