WrestlingInc.com have reported that it’s Michael Cole who opens up the first show for the NXT TakeOver: London contract signing for the NXT Championship. Cole is in charge because General Manager William Regal is recovering after having neck surgery but could be back in time for TakeOver in the UK.

The champion Finn Balor comes out to the ring followed by the challenger Samoa Joe, who recently turned heel. Everybody knows contract signings never run smoothly but at first both men followed the rules until Balor decided to leave. This prompted Samoa Joe to attack him from behind on the ramp, choking the champion out in the middle of a pile of referee’s.

It’s tag team action next with new champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder going up against former champions The Vaudevillians. Dash and Dawson manage to retain the championships in a clean victory before Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady run down to the ring.

The duo attacked the champions as they chase them off, and it looks as if this could be the Tag Team Championship match we get at TakeOver.

Asuka is in action next as she is scheduled to take on Dana Brooke, however, Emma makes her presence felt by attacking the Japanese Diva from behind as they both beat her down.

Apollo Crews defeats Jesse Sorensen and after the match he accepted Baron Corbin’s challenge to a match at TakeOver, this has the potential to be a big night for both men as one could push towards the NXT Championship picture and the other looks to a main roster move.

Bayley is in action next as she defends her championship against Eva Marie, something no NXT fan really wanted.

With the match in progress, Nia Jax made her way to the ring and pulled one referee out of the ring as she tried to assist Eva Marie.

In fact, Eva Marie almost stole the match numerous times with a few close pinfalls but thankfully it wasn’t her night. Bayley hit a super Belly to Bayley for the victory, but it wasn’t a sweet ending for the champion as Nia Jax showed her dominance by attacking the champion.

It was The Lone Wolf taking on the Perfect 10 in the main event, Corbin battling Tye Dillinger and in the build-up to TakeOver, this match was only ever going to go one way.

Corbin hit the End of Days on Dillinger for the win to conclude the first episode.
