The second episode looked a little depleted compared the first, nevertheless Nia Jax kicked off the show by squashing the popular Blue Pants. Her status with the company is unclear after it was reported officials weren’t too happy with her attitude.
A lot was reported earlier on in the evening that three former TNA stars could be taking part in the tapings. We didn’t get Gunner or Austin Aries, but the Cowboy James Storm was back at Full Sail. He took on Adam Rose and defeated him with a Superkick and his contract status is also unclear right now but he there’s a chance he may have signed a deal that night.
WE WANT GABLE
The Vaudevillians were in action again after losing to Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder in an NXT Tag Team Championship rematch in the previous episode.
They took on the popular team of Chad Gable and Jason Jordan and they managed to pick up a clean win. Gable and Jordan went for a handshake after the match, but Simon Gotch and Aiden English walked away, could we be seeing another heel turn for them?
Emma was competing next after attacking Asuka in the previous episode, she defeated Gionna Daddio who is going by the name Liv Morgan on NXT.
JOE VS. CIAMPA
After Emma’s victory, Asuka is seen on the big screen as she trains with a heavy bag before telling Emma that she will see her in London. It looks like we have another match set for NXT TakeOver: London.
In the main event, Samoa Joe is in action and he takes on the popular independent star, Tommaso Ciampa.
Ciampa has really impressed on NXT especially alongside Johnny Gargano and the WWE should really think of signing them up full-time as they’d be huge additions to NXT and possibly the main roster.
However, Ciampa wasn't able to pull out with a victory, with WrestlingInc reporting that this was a violent and hard-hitting win for Joe.
