Rafael Benitez must have thought his night couldn't get any worse following Real Madrid's humiliating 4-0 home defeat to rivals Barcelona on Saturday - but Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly piled the misery on the under-fire Spaniard by issuing an ultimatum to Los Blancos president Florentino Perez.
According to La Gazette Dello Sport - per Spanish newspaper Sport - Ronaldo 'exploded' after the match and told Perez: "It's Benitez or me".
The three-time Ballon d'Or winner has been below-par for much of the season and failed to make an impact in the Clasico. Clearly unhappy with life under Benitez, it seems Ronaldo is desperate for Perez to hire a new coach.

Benitez went into the Clasico with his position under scrutiny following Real Madrid's 3-2 defeat to Sevilla before the international break.
But the former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss could not have envisaged his side putting in such an abject performance against their fiercest rivals in front of their home supporters.
Benitez is walking a thin tightrope
Barcelona were the better team from the first minute and could - make that should - have scored at least two or three more goals. It was a rout, but it could so easily have been a demolition job.
Had Real Madrid been beaten by an even bigger margin it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Perez would have handed Benitez his P45 on Saturday night.
As it is, Benitez remains in charge and is now under intense pressure to secure all three points from Real Madrid's next Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday night.
