Roman Reigns was put through the entire spectrum of emotions in the space of five minutes last night during Survivor Series.
Having finally reached the WWE summit after overcoming Dean Ambrose to claim the Heavyweight title, his time as champion was short lived as Sheamus took his opportunity to cash in and steal away the belt.
The outcome left Roman Reigns flat out on the canvas and in total shock. Less than 24 hours on from the dramatic event, however, the former Shield member has taken to social media to send out a message of defiance.

Reigns' message could be used to describe his past 18 months in the WWE, not just the last 24 hours, as the former NFL hopeful has battled against negative crowd reaction to try and justify his position as the next in line to the WWE throne.
Survivor Series was supposed to be the moment Reigns finally took charge of the situation and won back the fans with a battling performance against Ambrose.
And, although the fan reaction was less enthusiastic than Reigns and the WWE would have liked, he has at least received support from some members of the WWE Universe today:
Ultimately, as Reigns himself says in the Tweet, he is "still in the picture." Sheamus has neither the fan support or the stature to be a long time WWE champion.
With the WWE preparing to enter Royal Rumble, and then WrestleMania, season there is no doubt that Roman Reigns will be in the thick of the action once again. Indeed, the brutal way he lost the title at Survivor Series will likely to be used as motivation throughout the next few months.
