WAS SHEAMUS THE RIGHT CHOICE?
Wrestling's social media community was outraged following the ending to Survivor Series with many people unhappy that Sheamus successfully cashed in his briefcase and there was no heel turn for either Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose.
Whilst many are complaining that the ending to Survivor Series was predictable, it actually wasn't. Roman Reigns was the favourite to win the Championship at the event with many saying that this was also an outrage.

Heading into the event, the latest rumours suggested that Sheamus was still set to unsuccessfully cash in the case because WWE were not fully backing him. This obviously changed at some point in the final preparations.
IS WWE NOW COMPLETELY THREADBARE?
Many within the WWE Universe are speculating that Sheamus cashing in his case was because WWE literally had no other option.
It was announced yesterday that Cesaro could be out for up to six months with a shoulder injury whilst Big Show was also injured in a house show, leaving WWE in the biggest injury dilemma in their recent history.
Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Rusev, Cesaro and Seth Rollins are all currently on WWE's injured list whilst John Cena is also missing until early next year.
This leaves WWE with something of a selection headache when trying to write upcoming storylines, given that creative had to re-write the entire WrestleMania season following Seth Rollins injury.
Whilst many people are unimpressed by Sheamus being the champion over Reigns and Ambrose, this was the best decision for WWE in their current predicament.
In the era of "smart" wrestling fans and the current internet wrestling Community, it is refreshing to see that WWE can still shock their Universe and it will be interesting to see how WWE repackage Sheamus as Champion.
