Victor Valdes has been ostracised at Manchester United and must be counting down to the days until January, when his personal nightmare should finally come to an end.
Louis van Gaal is not prepared to offer Valdes a way back into United’s first-team squad after he allegedly refused to play in an Under-21s match last season and the only way for this unfortunate situation to be resolved is for the ex-Barcelona goalkeeper to leave Old Trafford.
It was reported earlier this month that Van Gaal has even threatened to fine Valdes if he arrives at Carrington before the first-team stars have left - such is the animosity that now exists between the two men - and earlier today Valdes took to Twitter to express his current mood.

The Spaniard posted a photo of himself holding up a card with the words: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
"Not to disappoint those who wish to see me returning to playing, which is my motivation,” the 33-year-old added. "I struggle to be free and enjoy my profession."
Valdes has to leave Man United
It would have been better for all concerned had Valdes left Manchester United in the summer - as soon as the club had signed his replacement, Sergio Romero.
He was linked with a move to Besiktas at the end of the summer transfer window, but the transfer failed to materialise after the Turkish club reportedly changed certain terms in an agreed deal at the eleventh hour.
Despite the fact he hasn’t played a single minute of football this season, plenty of clubs will still be keen to secure Valdes’ signature in January.
He proved towards the end of last season that he remains a very good goalkeeper and, despite the circumstances, has kept himself fit over recent months.
