Arsenal are interested in signing a new striker - that much has become common knowledge. Gunners fans, how does Alexandre Pato sound? Hopefully he sounds good, because, according to former Arsenal man Edu, Arsene Wenger’s launched an enquiry after his services. To elaborate, Wenger supposedly had lunch with Edu and asked after Pato, amongst others. We’d hesitate to say it’s confirmation that a deal is going to happen, but at least new additions are on Wenger’s mind. Now, moving on, Ruud van Nistelrooy has opened up on that famous incident with Martin Keown, and he says he wasn’t paying any attention to the ex-Arsenal defender because he was so gutted he’d missed the penalty. You’d think he’d have noticed Keown shouting in his face, but you’d be wrong.
