WWE are a company who make it clear that they are not always the best representatives for even their own ideologies.

This, unfortunately, is arguably most apparent with regards to the WWE Divas Division and the talented female wrestlers who promote it.

Bad history

During February of this year, ex-WWE Diva AJ Lee called out the company's Chief Brand Officer; Stephanie McMahon after McMahon praised a speech regarding equality for women.

This prompted an angry response by Lee, who explained that the female wrestlers on WWE's roster work just as hard as the males and sell a huge amount of merchandise, only to receive less pay.

With this being just one example of how WWE has continued to wrongfully lose focus of its Divas, 2015 has been yet another bad year for this division.

Lana's Woes

One female WWE star who has come under fire recently is Lana, who is currently being sidelined with a wrist injury. As reported by Wrestling Inc, Lana was certainly in WWE's bad books following the announcement of her real-life engagement to WWE superstar Rusev during October of this year.

The news which was leaked to TMZ completely messed up WWE's intended story line and given the way the news broke over social media and the internet in general, it is understandable that the company was upset at the time.

It appears, however, that this heat Lana received from WWE has remained over the past six weeks and it has been aggravated further following a recent exchange on Twitter between Lana and WWE Diva Paige.

In a heated debate which quickly got personal, the WWE Universe was unsure as the Tweets unfolded as to whether the words were said as part of a story line.

Since then, however, it has become clear that the Tweets were not and that Lana was specifically branding Paige as a bully during their time working at NXT.

This was another incident which meant Lana is not favoured by WWE of late, with the company trying their best to turn the argument into a story line, as can be seen on WWE.com

As What Culture has reported, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has said that there is 'nuclear heat' on Lana within the WWE at present.

Fair treatment

Although Lana has undoubtedly made mistakes regarding her WWE status towards the end of this year, the company must be careful with regard to the way they are treating her as a result.

WWE are known as being open ambassadors for their Be A Star anti-bullying campaign, so having people defend Paige when Lana has branded her as a bully is something to be careful of.

Ultimately, Lana is someone who has the potential to represent the WWE Divas in a positive light, which she was doing so well in the earlier part of this year.

Although it may not come anytime soon, the WWE must seem fair and give her another chance as it would benefit not only the Divas but WWE as a company itself.
