If you’re familiar with Neville’s work on Sky Sports, you could probably guess that he would have named David Silva.
Neville can often be heard eulogising over the Spain international when working, either as a co-commentator or pundit, because of the expert way in which the 29-year-old is able to control matches.

Neville was the special guest at a charity event last night and revealed his thoughts to fellow Sky Sports colleague Guillem Balague live on stage.
"The best player in the Premier League is David Silva,” Neville was quoted as saying by Football Beyond Borders, the charity Thursday night’s event was in aid of.
“He’s wearing the wrong colour shirt but it’s him,” the current England coach added, according to Full Time Devils, who attended the event.
Copa 90 were also at the event and they spoke to Neville who added on Silva: “He can control any game.”

There aren’t too many times when football fans disagree with Neville, the best pundit on television, but this could be one of them.
Arsenal fans would probably argue that Alexis Sanchez is a better player while Chelsea fans would probably say that Eden Hazard - the PFA’s current Premier League Player of the Year - is also superior.
