Neville picks Premier League's best player
Given Gary Neville’s obvious affiliation to Manchester United, it wouldn’t have been preposterous for him to name one of Louis van Gaal’s stars as the best Premier League player.
However, when at a charity event last night he was posed the question by Guillem Balague.
His answer? David Silva of Manchester City. Not ridiculous in the slightest, but we can’t help but feel Sergio Aguero might well have something to say.

Van Gaal's detrimental blame culture
Meanwhile, alarming reports this morning have claimed that United’s younger players are now frightened to express themselves due to Van Gaal’s style of management on the training ground.
The Daily Mail’s Neil Ashton cites a blame culture that has been born at Carrington, with Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial all apparently affected.
Neville backs Wilson move
Rounding us off, the aforesaid Neville has also had his say on United’s decision to loan burgeoning striker James Wilson to Brighton. He’s surprised that fans are shocked by the move.
Wilson has moved to the Championship high-flyers on a season-long deal and Neville believes the young striker will benefit from getting regular game-time under his belt as he seeks to steer Chris Hughton’s men towards the Premier League.
