The final TakeOver event takes place on December 16 as NXT takes over London with Finn Balor defending his title against Samoa Joe.
Four TakeOver events have already taken place this year so the pressure is on to make sure the NXT stars end the year on a high and put another successful year in the books.
Not a lot of matches have been confirmed for the event, but based on what we’ve seen so far it’s clear what sort of matches we will be seeing at the SSE Arena. In order to ensure the event goes down a huge success and is a memorable event, here’s what I believe needs to happen at TakeOver: London.

BALOR NEEDS TO WIN, JOE NEEDS TO LOOK STRONG
It’s not clear just when the WWE will pull the trigger and have Finn Balor make the move from NXT to the main roster, something the fans have been wanting for quite a while.
Assuming Balor isn’t going anywhere right now, I feel that Balor needs to somehow retain his NXT Championship as he can still achieve a lot as the champion which includes a potential heel turn in the future. One plan that has been discussed is having Balor revealed as the man that attacked Hideo Itami, turning him heel in the progress.

I feel a Balor win is necessary as it helps him look even stronger, however, I do think Samoa Joe shouldn’t be dominated or outclassed in any way.
Joe should be a monster in this match and a disqualification finish could be the way to go to help Joe look like a genuine threat heading into another match or even different feuds.
SAMI ZAYN NEEDS TO RETURN
A Sami Zayn return has already been confirmed for the UK tour but whether it takes place at a house show or TakeOver hasn’t been revealed yet.
I do feel that a TakeOver return would be the best way to go because it would make the London event a memorable one and something the fans in attendance would love. The fans are always behind him and this is something that should be documented.
It would also be good to see what his plans are, whether he’s sticking on NXT or moving on to the main roster and this could be a key moment in the event.
BAYLEY NEEDS TO RETAIN
Bayley will definitely defend her NXT Championship with Nia Jax and Eva Marie looking like the frontrunners at this stage to challenge her for the gold.
Regardless of who the opponent is Bayley simply has to retain, there’s no argument about it. We know what the UK fans are like and when they don’t like something they’ll make sure the WWE hear about it. Considering this is the first time NXT is coming to the UK it’s doubtful they’ll want to leave on a sour note.
Along with this, the likes of Eva Marie and Nia Jax simply aren’t ready to spearhead the NXT Women’s division, whereas Bayley still has so much to offer.
CREWS AND CORBIN NEED TO LOOK STRONG
The match between Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin is an interesting one because it can actually go either way. We know Crews is more comfortable in the ring while Corbin has actually improved quite a lot this past year which is great to see.
Both men are looking to move on to bigger things, whether that’s the NXT Championship for Crews or the main roster for Corbin, and this means neither man should be made to really suffer.
The key here is that the match between the pair should be one that fans are left talking about in a positive light. There needs to be close calls, great spots and something that will want to make the fans continue watching. If they both look strong – regardless of who loses the match – they can still go on to their next targets.
I believe if TakeOver: London manages to include most of these points on to the special event in December then I feel it will round off a great year for NXT and they can build on towards 2016 to make it bigger and better.
