All eyes are currently on Roman Reigns as he continues to divide opinion on his current standing in the WWE as it’s clear he’s going to be the future top star.
It’s been common knowledge for a while now that the WWE are serious about making Reigns ‘the man’ in the WWE and the way they’re doing it has also been revealed in the last week or so.
They’re hoping that Reigns coming close to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on a number of occasions will hopefully get the fans to get behind him and want him to go on and capture the championship title.

It’s also been revealed that the plan for Reigns is that he heads into WrestleMania 32 as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion which means Sheamus’ reign could end as early as December or even January at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
If that plan does come to fruition and Reigns is the champion heading into the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, then there are some good potential matches which could take place at the record-breaking event.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. TRIPLE H
A match between Reigns and Triple H is already being heavily rumoured, especially since the two have been at odds for a little while now. Reigns rejected Triple H’s offer of joining The Authority and The Game also played a key role in Sheamus cashing in on Reigns at Survivor Series.
It’s obviously a match that makes sense considering there’s clear dislike for one another on television, and seeing Triple H in the ring at WrestleMania is also something special every year as we don’t know when his final one may be.
This could also benefit Reigns as he’d be in the ring with a veteran who could help Reigns look good, and it would mean so much more if the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is on the line It has the potential to almost be built-up as a video game, with Reigns defeating all members of The Authority before moving on to the final boss in The Game.
The only question here would be the level of interest heading into this potential match, we know fans aren’t exactly too keen on Reigns and WrestleMania is around four or five months away so it’s still quite a while to build up this feud.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. BROCK LESNAR
Another match which is rumoured to take place could be a championship match between Reigns and Brock Lesnar, a rematch from WrestleMania 31 where Seth Rollins cashed-in.
There are plans to bring Lesnar back sooner than originally planned because of the injuries to certain superstars and a Royal Rumble return seems to be the perfect occasion to mark an epic return. If it does go down that way and Reigns also wins the championship before WrestleMania then it’s a good story to tell.
Earlier this year we had Reigns winning the Rumble to challenge Lesnar and it could be the opposite next year with Lesnar earning a shot to challenge Reigns. Their first encounter was something to remember so it will be interesting to see how far Reigns has come in a year.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. JOHN CENA
Another match the WWE could consider is a championship match between Reigns and John Cena, again it’s probably not something the fans want considering the majority of them see them as almost identical stars.
This is a match which could be the ultimate passing of the torch if Cena puts Reigns over. It’s also the occasion of the event at the biggest WrestleMania in history with over 100,000 fans expected to pack the stadium. Reigns going up against one of the biggest stars ever would be huge for his career while a win would be even bigger.
It’s not something that would be straightforward, however, as it’s also a night where Cena could potentially capture his 16th World Championship with the young, hungry champion standing in his way. It could be a fantastic battle if the build-up is done well.
