Dean Ambrose is currently one of the most popular stars on WWE television today and it doesn’t come as a surprise that the fans continue to display their frustrations at the fact he isn’t playing a bigger role.

The fact that he’s on television isn’t anywhere near enough what he deserves because he’s one of the most talented men in the company. He’s a unique character with a unique move-set, but he’s been floating around the mid-card scene from feud to feud.

He played a bit-part role in the Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt feud, and nobody really expected him to overcome Reigns in the final of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament.

There are ways to fix every superstar and Ambrose is no different. He has all the tools to succeed, but it just depends on where they go from here. Here are what I think the WWE should consider in order to make Ambrose a huge success in the WWE, something he definitely deserves.

LENGTHY FEUD WITH KEVIN OWENS

One of the big problems with Ambrose is that the majority of his feuds this year haven’t lasted too long, or he’s not played an important role in them.

I do think Kevin Owens and Ambrose could help each other if their feuds lasts a couple of months, they’re currently engaged in a feud for the Intercontinental Championship and the match at TLC is something the fans are excited about because they’re such strong characters.

However, their feud and match would be pointless if TLC marks the end of it. We need weeks and weeks of back and forth action between the pair which makes their battle a must-watch.

Perhaps a title change could also benefit Ambrose.

ENTER THE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP PICTURE

This one is a bit of a stretch but in the tournament that culminated at Survivor Series, Ambrose actually put on a strong showing throughout and proved that he is someone who can perform at the highest level.

Obviously the WWE won’t substitute the Reigns push to accommodate Ambrose but it would be a good feud for both men. It doesn’t mean Ambrose has to win the championship but being involved in main event matches for the biggest prize on the company brings the experience which is invaluable.

SURPRISE ROYAL RUMBLE WINNER

If the WWE plan to continue using Ambrose in the same manner, they are right now then there will be no better surprise to win the Royal Rumble in January than the Lunatic Fringe.

The big name superstars will always be the favourites to win, but it’s clear that Ambrose is the best fit for a surprise and head into WrestleMania with the fans support – if that’s the plan.

He’s almost like an underdog who you’d overlook during the match and would be pleasantly surprised when he’s pointing at the WrestleMania sign. The WWE should consider Ambrose as an option because there is no way fans will be booing him out of the building like they did with Reigns earlier this year and Batista last year.

HEEL TURN

This is something the fans have been wanting for some time now as it’s clear he is made to be a top heel, although he’s working fantastically as a face.

If they continue to use him exactly like they do then Ambrose will only decline which isn’t good for his career, there are so many more opportunities for him as a heel and one of those is to feud with Reigns.

It just feels like he would be in his element as a heel and we saw that when he debuted with The Shield, the fans who know him as Jon Moxley would agree that he would be much better as someone who is being booed.

Ambrose is too valuable to the company to keep him pinned down in the mid-card scene. If the WWE decide to use any of the points mentioned then it will be a step in the right direction on the long path of becoming a top main event star in the company, something he’s definitely capable of.
