Before you gun us down for perceived deception, this claim comes from the Daily Mirror, who say that Louis van Gaal is an admirer of the Gabon international, who has 25 goals in all competitions this year, and imply that he could be seen as a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney.
£42million is the cost put up against Aubameyang's name. We’re going to place that in the dubious transfer rumour pile, but in football you never really know.

Ferdinand reveals Ronaldo embarrassment
Lastly, Rio Ferdinand has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo used to be embarrassed about his wayward shooting in training when he was in the early stages of being a Manchester United player.
Ferdinand said Ronaldo didn’t possess a great shot when he first arrived at Old Trafford - quite the opposite to the cannon he regularly lets off nowadays - and that he used to sneak off at the Carrington training complex in a bid to improve.
