What's that you say, Manchester United are in need of a striker in the January transfer window?
Well, let me tell you about a terrific player in the Bundesliga. His name is Javier Hernandez – or Chicharito – and he has scored ten goals in just 14 stars for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
In fact, his form has been so impressive this season, he has just been awarded the Bundesliga Player of the Month for November. With Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial having scored just five Premier League goals between, surely a man like Hernandez would be the perfect addition to the squad.

Unfortunately, as Manchester United fans know, Hernandez will not be coming to Old Trafford in January, and many of them are furious about it. Louis van Gaal showed no faith in the diminutive attacker, first allowing him to leave on loan to Real Madrid in 2014 before selling him in the summer.
It was seen as a strange decision at the time. Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao had also departed in the same window and it looked for all the world that there would be space for Hernandez to at least stake a claim in the first-team.
Scoring for fun
But Van Gaal did not believe he had the sufficient quality to play in his team and allowed him to join Bayer Leverkusen without a direct replacement in the pipeline.
Now Hernandez is scoring for fun in Germany, it seems like a massive oversight from the Dutch coach. To put it in context, he has more league goals (six) than Rooney and Martial combined.
Unsurprisingly, the Old Trafford faithful are well aware of Hernandez's form and have been quick to suggest that Van Gaal has basically ruined their season by allowing him to leave, especially for just £7million.
