Jose Mourinho set to drop Fabregas from Chelsea vs Porto

Published Add your comment

Since many assume Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea future hinges on the result of tonight’s Champions League meeting with Porto, the starting XI he opts for has taken on a new importance. Reports are stating that John Terry will be trusted to lead from the back, despite his struggles so far this campaign, but it’s in midfield that the most notable decision could be made. The Mirror claim Cesc Fabregas will be dropped from the team as he continues to search for form, with Ramires coming in to take his place. There’s been no official confirmation of that, but it wouldn’t really be a surprise. Elsewhere, former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku has talked up the relationship he shares with west London legend Didier Drogba. The Belgian has often been compared to Drogba, and said the MLS star was an idol he still turns to for advice.
