Sports fans, hello and welcome.
The weekend is within touching distance - a fact that should be universally celebrated - and that means that there’s added emphasis placed on the rumours and breaking news involving US sports.
Here we’ve collated a series of the best bits doing the rounds. Watch the report above or read on below for more.
Crabtree deal done
The Oakland Raiders have signed wide receiver Michael Crabtree to a four-year contract extension worth $35million, the franchise has confirmed.
The Raiders themselves tweeted a picture of Crabtree sitting behind what looks to be a contract, with the caption ‘This is where I belong’.
The 28-year-old joined Oakland after a disappointing 2014 with San Francisco - it’s safe to say he won’t be utilising the free-agent market again next offseason.
Allen confirms Panthers wish
Meanwhile, Jared Allen has confirmed that he has no plans to play for anyone other than the Carolina Panthers next season if he stays on in the NFL at all.
The defensive end was traded to Carolina early this season and has been a part of the last undefeated team in the league.
He said he wasn’t sure if he would be playing again next year, but if he is then it will be for the Panthers.
Jefferson handed suspension
In the NBA, meanwhile, Al Jefferson has been suspended for five games by the league after violating the anti-drug program.
The forward will begin serving the ban when he returns to full fitness, with the Charlotte Hornets declaring themselves disappointed with his decisions.
Lastly, DeAndre Jordan produced the dunk of the night in last night’s round of games, leaving Greg Monroe quite literally speechless as he sailed over him.
The LA Clippers cruised to a 109-95 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center with Jordan’s effort certainly the showpiece. Check it out in the video below.
