The NXT tour of the UK concludes next Wednesday at the SSE Arena in London with the final TakeOver special of the year.

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe battle it out in the main event for the NXT Champion while NXT Women’s Champion Bayley faces a tough task against Nia Jax. The TakeOver: London special will be the final event of the UK tour that also sees them compete in house shows in locations such as Newcastle, Sheffield and Blackpool.

With a successful year for NXT, there will be high expectations on the stars to go out there and not only put on a show and impress the UK fans in their first visit but also to end the year on a high note.

With plenty of build-up and excitement heading into TakeOver, here’s what I think will go down in London next week.

DASH & DAWSON © VS. ENZO AMORE & BIG CASS - NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Another NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity for Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and they go up against the impressive tag team of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, who shocked the NXT fans when they became champions.

Both tag teams are highly impressive in their own ways as Enzo and Big Cass are highly entertaining, ooze charisma and they have a unique bond with the fans. Dash and Dawson, on the other hand, are the complete opposite, and they’re superb in the ring.

I do believe it will be a solid tag team match, and the London crowd will be on fire for the fan favourites, but I do think it’s too soon for Dash and Dawson to drop the championships already so for me, Dash and Dawson will retain their NXT Tag Team Championships.

ASUKA VS. EMMA

Emma has impressed since moving back to NXT and aligning herself with Dana Brooke, and her new heel persona has helped her development as a character.

She’s going up against one of the hottest new additions to NXT in the form of Asuka who has mixed in well with the roster on-screen and despite the language barrier, her feud with Brooke and Emma is looking to be quite successful.

It’s no secret that her in-ring work is where she shines the most with her great strikes, and I imagine her match with Emma to be a whole lot better than the match with Dana as they’re both fantastic in the ring. It should be a good battle, and I imagine the favourite in Asuka to pick up the win.

APOLLO CREWS VS. BARON CORBIN

This is another match that the fans will be looking forward to as Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin are two of the biggest NXT superstars and are big attractions as well. Corbin has a fantastic look to succeed while Crews’ move-set is something that sets him apart from everyone else.

This has been a good feud for both men as it’s allowed us to see Crews on the back foot at times while Corbin has finally been given another chance with a top superstar. I don’t think this will be a match of the night contender, but it’s a match that could get the fans talking.

This is one which could genuinely go either way as we don’t know how Crews can react after a big loss while Corbin is almost like a veteran on NXT so he’s seen a lot and can easily bounce back from a loss. Although a win for either man would be massive as they would easily be the top contender for the NXT Championship, for that reason I see Apollo Crews winning this match.

BAYLEY © VS. NIA JAX - NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

A huge test for Bayley and even bigger test for Nia Jax, the biggest prize for the women on NXT is on the line, and it’s not an easy match to predict as they both bring different aspects to this match.

This is a big step for Jax who has only recently made her on-screen debut and a title shot already is something we rarely see, but it’s clear the higher-ups have enough faith in her to go out and put on a fantastic showing alongside Bayley.

Bayley is probably the underdog in this match, granted, she’s the defending champion, but Jax will be her biggest test to date, and Bayley will also look to put on a great match that the fans will love. I do think the WWE are still going to move along with the Eva Marie plan that Jax is involved in, so I see Bayley retaining her NXT Women’s Championship.

FINN BALOR © VS. SAMOA JOE - NXT CHAMPIONSHIP

The main event will see Finn Balor defend his NXT Championship against Samoa Joe, which will probably be the match of the night. The sad thing is that this match is great for both of these men and the fans as well, but some of the work Joe is doing right now means he should probably be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Regardless of that, both men have had the upper hand leading into this match so it’s not easy to predict who will walk out of London with the championship. Balor has already seen off a huge threat in Kevin Owens, and Joe is equally as dangerous, if not more.

It seems like we’re edging closer and closer to Balor moving to the main roster and to do that he should drop the championship, unlike Owens when he moved up. I do see a title change taking place in London to make it more memorable, and I believe this will be the one.

I see Samoa Joe becoming the new NXT Champion.
