Wayne Rooney being offered £75m to make Chinese Super League move

Published 2 Comments

They enjoyed a good relationship on the international scene and now Sven Goran Eriksson could possibly be reunited with Wayne Rooney at club level. That’s at least according to the Daily Mail, who say that the striker is being offered an eye-watering £75million to switch allegiances from United to the Chinese Super League. The breakdown is £25m-a-year for three years, with Eriksson’s Shanghai a viable option. To make things clear, it’s the league themselves who want Rooney, not any specific club at the moment. In team news, meanwhile, Bastian Schweinsteiger has been handed a three-match ban by the FA for an incident involving Winston Reid this past Saturday. The German will serve his suspension with immediate effect after accepting a charge of violent conduct.
