Liverpool fans, hello and welcome to the last round-up of the week.
There’s been ups and downs, but the show rolls on as we tip-toe closer to the end of the year. As usual, we’ve amassed a series of news pieces and rumours for your entertainment.
Watch the video above or read on below for all the very latest.
Lucio on Coutinho
Philippe Coutinho is a brilliant player when on song, we all know this. Just how good can he be? Well, Lucio thinks he has the potential to become the best footballer on the planet.
The Brazilian said his compatriot, by and large one of Liverpool’s most important players, should remain at Anfield where he can continue to grow, suggesting that a move to Barcelona might not be a good idea.
"I am very happy that he is having success at Liverpool," Lucio told Sky Sports.
"There is potential to be the best player in the world, of that there is no doubt. But it will depend on what happens around him. He is only going to get better."
Coutinho certainly has things to improve on before he’s at the world-class level, but the potential is there.
Klopp on the Europa League
Elsewhere, Jurgen Klopp has insisted the Europa League will be taken seriously in the New Year because of the standard of teams left in the competition.
The likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Valencia and Marseille are all in the knockout stages, as well, of course, as Liverpool.
Markovic on the scoresheet
Lastly, on-loan Liverpool man Lazar Markovic got on the scoresheet in the Europa League last night, in part courtesy of an absolute howler from former Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
The Serbian midfielder netted the goal below during the draw with Celtic - the result was enough to ensure that Fenerbahce made it through to the competition’s knockout stages.
