Mesut Ozil posts on Instagram after Arsenal’s win over Aston Villa

Mesut Ozil took to Instagram after Arsenal’s 2-0 win away to Aston Villa to celebrate the fact that his side have moved to the top of the Premier League, ahead of Leicester City’s Monday night fixture
against Chelsea.

The German playmaker provided his 13th league assist of the season as Aaron Ramsey doubled the Gunners’ lead before the half-time break.

And Ozil added a photo of himself celebrating with the Welshman after the full-time whistle at Villa Park.

Arsenal’s rise to the summit of the Premier League has been largely indebted to Ozil, who continues to gift his teammates with goal scoring opportunities.

The World Cup winner again exhibited his unselfishness against Villa as he squared a pass – when he could have taken a shot – to leave Ramsey with half an empty goal to aim at.

His vision and awareness of the players around him perfectly complement his vast passing range, and that is largely why he continues to be involved in Arsenal goals.

Anything less than a victory for Leicester against Chelsea tomorrow night will ensure that Arsene Wenger’s side stay at the top of the table for even longer.

Arsenal host Manchester City in the Premier League next Monday, and victory over their title rivals will be aided greatly if Ozil continues his fine attacking form.
