Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez has been compared to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has insisted that Mahrez is doing things with his left-foot that he has only seen Messi do.
Mahrez, of course, has been one of the standout players of the season and was once again in wonderful form as the Foxes played host to Chelsea on Monday night.

In fact, the Algerian wide-man created one and scored the other as Leicester secured an impressive 2-1 victory over the struggling Premier League champions. And after the game, Carragher was full of praise for the 24-year-old, comparing him to the one and only Messi.
As per Goal.com, The Liverpool legend told Sky Sports: “Mahrez is doing things with that left foot that I have only seen Messi do.
“[Cesar] Azpilicueta was one of the best defenders in the League last season and he could not handle him. Mahrez is playing so well that top clubs in Europe will be looking at him.
"It's important that they [Leicester] keep their players in January. People might come in for Vardy and Mahrez, but if the players are smart they will stay where they are.
“They are playing great football, the club's got momentum and if they get into the top four it would be an incredible story.”
Story of the season
There's absolutely no doubt about it, Claudio Ranieri's side really have been the story of the season. With Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and N'Golo Kante leading the way, Leicester really do stand a great chance of securing a top-four finish this season. It would be foolish to dismiss their chances at this stage.
Mahrez most definitely deserves his plaudits; 11 goals and seven assists from 15 Premier League games makes phenomenal reading. He's still learning the game, of course, but looks set to become one of the leading players in England's elite division.
