WWE round-up: Roman Reigns becomes World Heavyweight Champion

Published 2 Comments

He’s the usurper who has been lurking for some time in the shadow of champions - Roman Reigns finally managed to raise the Heavyweight World Title last night on RAW. After coming desperately close at the weekend’s TLC pay-per-view, Reigns got his vengeance on Sheamus to take the Irishman’s belt away from him and become the newly recognised champ. WWE ratings continue to fail, so quite literally anything could happen moving forward, but for now at least pro-Roman supporters can rejoice. Meanwhile, sticking with the same topic, Seth Rollins was quick to let fans know his intentions for the future, tweeting Reigns to tell him to ‘keep the throne warm’. Rollins is projected to be out for a number of months but if and when he does return Vince McMahon will surely have his eye on a clash between the former Shield Brothers.
