Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is set to make midfielder Marko Grujic his first signing on Merseyside.
This has been reported by The Sun, who claim that a phone call from Klopp was enough to persuade the talented youngster that Liverpool was the place for him ahead of a £4.3 million deal.
At just 19-years-old, the Red Star Belgrade midfielder has already starred for the Serbia Under-21 and looks set for a bright future in the game.

With pace, energy and natural ability, Grujic offers so much from the midfield department. He can both create and score goals, too, so could prove an exciting coup for the club in their pursuit of long-term success.
In fact, The Sun claim that he has been likened to Liverpool man Emre Can for his box-to-box style, so the Reds will no doubt be hoping to conclude a deal sooner rather than later.
With Liverpool hoping to secure the player's signature in the upcoming January transfer window, it must be noted that the youngster is set to remain with Red Star Belgrade for the rest of the season.
High profile signings unlikely
The assumption that Klopp will mix things up in the January transfer window appears to be wrong. It appears that it will be a fairly quiet period for the club and their new boss.
It has recently been reported that the Reds chief isn't expected to do much transfer business, instead sticking with his current crop of stars until the end of the season.
The remainder of the campaign, then, represents a huge opportunity for the Liverpool players to express themselves under the new regime. If they fail to do so, then perhaps Klopp will change the dynamic of his squad next summer.
