WWE have now released all of the nominees for their annual Slammy Awards that take place live on this week's edition of Monday night Raw.
Within those categories is 'rivalry of the year' with the five nominees being; Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker, Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt, John Cena vs Rusev, Team Bella vs Team Bad vs Team PCB and Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins.
DEAN AMBROSE VS SETH ROLLINS?
Whilst this rivalry was a big focus of 2014 following Seth Rollins' betrayal of The Shield, once again WWE fell back on these two superstars this year and they had a main event rivalry that spanned both Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank.

Ambrose and Rollins have the ability to main event any pay-per-view and they proved that at Money in the Bank when they put on one of the best ladder matches in the event's history. That same event also had one of the most controversial endings but was never followed up.
Last year, The Authority and Daniel Bryan narrowly defeated this rivalry to pick up The Slammy Award, but there is no reason why this rivalry shouldn't be nominated again this year.

ONE HORSE RACE?
Without Rollins and Ambrose being included in the voting, it seems that the only real candidate on this list is Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.
Their brawl following Undertaker's return at Battleground made for one of the best episodes of Raw in a long time before a decent match at SummerSlam followed this up, if not for the controversial ending.
Their final match at Hell in a Cell was the perfect way for the two men to bow out of one of the best rivalries of the year.
The other rivalries that have been nominated are not in the same class as Undertaker and Brock and WWE snubbing the Ambrose vs Rollins feud has left this with a straight forward decision for the WWE Universe.
Whilst it is a sign of how far the Divas division has come by seeing them nominated, there is no possible way the triple threat feud will win here because WWE's booking managed to change a fantastic idea into recurring tag team matches that meant very little.
It is currently unknown if Seth Rollins will be in attendance on Monday Night since he could still win Superstar of the year, but it will be interesting to see if anything comes of this or Brock Lesnar if he picks up rivalry of the year.
