In a Premier League season that will be best remembered for its unpredictability, one team will live long in the memory: Leicester City.
Heading into the busy Christmas period, Leicester have a great chance of seeing in the New Year with their name at the top of the league table - a feat that will not go unnoticed. They have already secured their position at the summit for Christmas at least, after their 3-2 victory away at Everton.
Ranieri's men doing the business
The Foxes form has somewhat been overlooked this season. This could be due Chelsea's poor form grabbing much of the attention, as has Manchester United's recent slump with Louis van Gaal's future hanging in the balance.

However, if we do head over the half way mark and Leicester continue their momentum at the top of the table, heads will start to look to Claudio Ranieri and the Foxes as potential title contenders.
With Manchester City and Arsenal the only two other teams in the league looking like they have the potential to go the distance, there is nothing to stop Leicester putting together a title challenge.

Leicester have up to this point been helped by the fantastic form of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, who have scored 28 goals between them. The two will be hugely influential in how far the Foxes can go this season.
Leicester's form has been even more remarkable considering that at this point last season they were fighting a relegation battle. However, just one year on they top the table, with a chance to strengthen their side when the January transfer window opens, to further bolster their chances of glory.
Festive period will be crucial
The next two games may be pivotal for their chances. Before the turn of 2016, the Foxes will play Liverpool away from home, and then a home tie with City. Two pivotal games that could potentially end their great run of form.
But with only one loss so far this season, which is less than anyone else in the division, what's to say that they can't come out on top after these two games? If Mahrez and Vardy can produce the kind of form we have seen so far this season, there is nothing to say they can't see through this tricky period and continue their title push.
