Kobe Bryant returned from a shoulder injury to inspire the Los Angeles Lakers to a 111-107 NBA victory over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

Having missed Saturday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder with a sore right shoulder, Bryant tied a season high with 31 points as the Lakers rallied from a 21-point first-half deficit to stun the short-handed Nuggets.

The Detroit Pistons also dug themselves out of a hole, battling from 18 points down to clinch a 93-92 road win against the Miami Heat.

Reggie Jackson led the visitors with 18 points, with Stanley Johnson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributing 14 apiece. Caldwell-Pope's jumper with 55.5 seconds left proved decisive for the Pistons, with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh missing jumpers in the final three seconds for the Heat.

The Philadelphia 76ers stumbled to their 11th straight loss, going down 104-90 at home to Memphis. Marc Gasol (19) led five Grizzlies players with double figures of points scored, with Mike Conley adding 18 points and six assists.

DeMar DeRozan poured in 28 points and Kyle Lowry had a double double - 17 points and 10 rebounds - as the Toronto Raptors overcame the Dallas Mavericks 103-99.
