The Royal Rumble is one of the most highly anticipated events on the WWE calendar and many fans look forward to seeing the show every year.
The main event of the show itself, the Royal Rumble, always has a draw and many superstars who haven't been part of the company for some time appear during the 30-man Royal Rumble match as surprise entrants. At the 2015 show, Bubba Ray Dudley, The Boogeyman, and Diamond Dallas Page returned to big pops.
This year, anybody could return to the WWE ring at the show, so here are three surprise Royal Rumble entrants fans want to see.

Fans of the Attitude Era will remember Kurt Angle's most memorable matches against John Cena and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. However, since 2006, he hasn't been a part of the WWE and has instead been performing his craft in TNA.
This January coming up marks his retirement tour with TNA in the UK, but he hasn't said if he will be hanging up the wrestling boots for good. Angle has said himself he would love to end his wrestling career with the WWE at WrestleMania, so hopefully Vince McMahon does the right thing and gives him a contract.
Bryan has been out of action for so long, a lot of fans have forgotten about him. Most don't even remember that he won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 31.
Since relinquishing that title and stepping away from the company to recover from his injuries, the most fans have heard from the man himself is that he might not be coming back to the WWE as he is too much of a risk.
This doesn't mean the WWE can't throw a curve ball at the Royal Rumble and surprise us all with one of the biggest returns of the year.
Not much of a return, but certainly a surprise entrant as The Game has taken a step away from ring action over recent years, only having big matches at WrestleMania. This one might anger you because it is using up a spot but hear me out.
It's pretty certain now Triple H is likely to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas after the embarrassment he's been given by him at Survivor Series and at TLC, but with The Big Dog currently as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he needs a legitimate way to face off against him in the ring.
He could just insert himself into a match with him, but that's not really the legitimate way fans of the WWE want to see and it makes for an ill-effort storyline. Entering him into the Royal Rumble provides him with the shot of getting his hands on Roman the right way.
