It seems whatever Mesut Ozil touches turns to goals these days. The German was influential once again on Monday night as Arsenal dispatched of Bournemouth to move top of the Premier League.

The World Cup-winning playmaker took his assist tally to an incredible 16 before slotting past Artur Boruc for his fifth goal in all competitions as the Gunners dispelled any memories of their 4-0 hammering by Southampton two days prior.

Following the victory, Arsene Wenger was waxing lyrical about the 27-year-old, who has shown on numerous occasions this campaign why Cristiano Ronaldo was so unhappy to see him leave the Bernabeu, likening him to Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.

The Dutchman spent 11 years at Highbury and was part of the Invincibles side of 2003-04. During his time in North London - where he amassed 423 appearances - the Iceman produced some simply mind-boggling moments.

ASSISTS

Ozil is the assist king. Having broken the Premier League record for providing a goal in consecutive games, the German is on course to break the season-high tally set by Thierry Henry.

Bergkamp was also known for his ability to pick a pass and retired from football having created 116 goals for the likes of Henry, Ian Wright and Robert Pires.

Ozil has never been considered a prolific goalscorer and has averaged a goal every five games since moving to the Emirates in 2013.

His finish against Bournemouth took his tally to five and the signs are there that he is becoming more clinical for the north London outfit.

Bergkamp averaged a goal every three games for the Gunners and found the back of the net with sublime ease at times. While Henry was taking the plaudits for his goalscoring record, the Iceman was producing some unbelievable moments.
