As WWE fans, we all love to fantasy book. Whether it’s wanting Sting to take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania or a Shield triple threat match at WrestleMania.
With those particular scenarios there’s a sense of nostalgia that comes with it, and you can’t exactly blame the fans for wanting that to happen, but there are plenty of other fantasy booking ideas which simply won’t take place – yet fans don’t and will never give up.
It’s always fun to book these ideas, but fans shouldn’t be disappointed when they don’t happen, and there are plenty of things fans are clinging on to and they simply won’t happen or they shouldn’t happen. Here are the fantasy booking ideas I believe will never and should not happen in the WWE.

A JOHN CENA HEEL TURN
Fans would love to see John Cena turn heel because it’s something we haven’t seen in a very long time. The last time he was a heel he was still under his rapping gimmick that was well before he became the face of the WWE, as the face he has remained a face through the good and bad times.
He still gets booed to this day, but his character has remained the same, but fans still call for Cena to turn his back to the fans, so we see something fresh. Of course, we want it to happen, but will it happen? Of course not.

It seems like it’s almost too late now with so many new stars emerging, but the fact is Cena is the company’s cash cow. There’s no way Vince McMahon will have his merchandise sales decrease by having Cena turn heel, he still shifts so much merchandise and makes too much money for the company.
There’s no way McMahon will want to lose out on the money for the sake of a heel turn to please a section of the fans.
BO DALLAS JOINING THE WYATT FAMILY
Over the past half a year or so it was widely speculated that The Wyatt Family would be getting a new member, at first, we assumed Adam Rose would transition back into his Leo Kruger character, but we now know Braun Strowman was the surprise addition.
That didn’t stop the WWE Universe, though, for some reason Bo Dallas is the man they wanted to see join The Wyatt Family. Personally, it makes no sense to me as neither parties benefit from it. What does Bo bring to the group? How will his presence help The Wyatt Family? If anything, it takes the focus away from the members of the group.
The reasoning that has been provided is that they are brothers in real life, which in all honesty is a weak reason to have them join forces.
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN COMPETING AGAIN
I’ll admit that even I want Stone Cold Steve Austin to step foot inside the squared circle again and compete in one final match and send him out on a high, but if we’re being honest, there’s no way Austin is going to wrestle again.
He’s said it time and time again that his days in the ring are over, and it’s about time we came to terms with that. Putting him in the ring with somebody like Brock Lesnar is dangerous, plus Austin doesn’t benefit from competing anymore as it’s hazardous to his health.
He still manages to be a draw by simply being a presence at the event, and we can be sure he’ll be at WrestleMania 32 in some capacity. It’s about time we start to draw up fantasy WrestleMania cards without Austin involved.
FINN BALOR AND KANE LINK
Everybody is excited for the potential Finn Balor arrival on the main roster, and we’re all wondering just what the WWE have planned for his debut.
More importantly, we’re wondering how the demon will become a part of the main roster, but one thing that definitely shouldn’t happen is that he’s linked to Kane. There’s no solid reasoning for having Kane bring Balor to the main roster; it seems almost forced, and it already adds so much pressure on Balor.
He needs to be his own star and the way things are going for him, he shouldn’t have any problems. The WWE shouldn’t jeopardise that, let’s keep Balor and Kane as far apart as possible.
BROCK LESNAR VS. DANIEL BRYAN
When will Daniel Bryan compete inside a WWE ring again? Nobody knows the answer to that, but there’s no harm in living in hope that Bryan will become a top in-ring star in the WWE again because he deserves that spot.
One match that fans want to see is a clash between Bryan and Lesnar which – on paper – looks like a mouth-watering clash and one which could sell out any-pay-per-view. Let’s look at the current situation, though, Bryan has had two serious injuries and may not even compete in the ring against.
Lesnar is very brutal inside of the ring, and there’s no way he’d be adjusting his style to accommodate Bryan. There’s no point in risking his health for the sake of one match; they should both focus on other big matches.
CESARO BECOMING THE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Cesaro is one of the most loved, underrated and underutilised stars in the WWE and it’s a shame that he’s no injured and on the shelf. The fan support for him has been through the roof, and although the fans managed to get Bryan the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, there’s no way the same will happen for Cesaro.
He’s incredibly talented and one of the finest competitors in the WWE, but there’s a reason the hierarchy don’t pull the trigger with him and have him become the championship, and that probably won’t change anytime soon.
He’s now 35-years-old, so you have to wonder how much time he has left at the top to prove them wrong and make a push towards the championship. It’s obviously a sad situation if you’re a Cesaro fan because if we base it solely on talent – he should be a champion already.
It’s about time fans get over the fact that Cesaro will never become a WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
