This past Monday Night Raw at Brooklyn's Barclays Center served up a number of big moments for the WWE Universe to absorb.
From John Cena's long-awaited return to Vince McMahon's show-closing arrest, there was plenty to talk about. That, of course, also included what appeared to be one of the first bits of confirmed information about the fast-approaching 2016 Royal Rumble.
However, it looks like Big Show's announcement that he would be the first entrant into the ring on January 24 was actually a big foul up on the veteran Superstar's behalf.

As reported by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, via NoDq, whilst the Big Show was right to throw his hat into the ring for the upcoming Royal Rumble, he was never meant to say he was to be first in the ring.
In fact, with The Giant having messed up his lines on Monday night, the WWE are set to make the Superstar retract his statement on a show in the near future to avoid any confusion.
Big Show was the 29th entrant in the 2015 Royal Rumble and was only prevented from claiming the title by the eventual winner, Roman Reigns.
With the finale to the most recent Rumble not exactly going down well with the WWE Universe, having the veteran star enter right at the beginning of the 2016 event might not have been a bad idea.
As it stands, though, fans will have to wait until January 24 to see just when he and his 29 fellow competitors make their entrance in the much-anticipated event.
