Mario Balotelli has had a **** 2015 - and that's according to the man himself. Kind of, anyway.
He'll certainly be hoping that 2016 holds more in store, although his attempts to celebrate its arrival didn't get off to the best of starts when he got stuck in traffic on New Year's Eve.
All this and more is revealed in a brilliant Instagram video uploaded by the Italian striker, who also warns his followers not to play with fireworks - a nod to the infamous incident in 2011 when the then-Manchester City striker saw his mansion go up in flames.
"Tonight I will make you a nice video with fireworks. Be careful with fireworks," he said in a video uploaded to his 3.4 million followers on Instagram. He continued: "I will wish you the best New Year's ever, because this this year been shhh.... you know what."
A few hours later it seemed that Balotelli hadn't taken his own advice and later uploaded two videos of himself and friends setting off fireworks. "Ok as I just said I'm gonna do it and I'm doing it," he said in one of two videos letting off explosives. Not a good idea.
Balotelli's "s***" year may be down to the fact his second stab at success in the Premier League with Liverpool ended in failure and a move back to Italy with AC Milan.
He's not exactly has a successful campaign back at the San Siro either; he's managed just four starts in Serie A and scored just once. The 25-year-old is on a season-long loan from Liverpool and on current form there's a real chance he'll be back at Anfield in the summer.
Balotelli was signed by former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers for £16 million in 2014.
