It’s not secret how much success Finn Balor and Bayley have had on NXT in 2015, with fantastic matches and great fan support they’ve managed to see out the year as NXT and NXT Women’s Champion.

At the minute it seems like they can do no wrong, they’re two of the most popular stars on NXT and the fans – especially the kids – adore them. It will be a sad day when it’s time to call it a day on NXT before moving on to the big time; the main roster.

BALOR WANTS NXT STAY

A move to the main roster has been rumoured for quite a while now and fans are still wondering just when those moves will take place.

Even though fans are restless and want to see Balor on the main roster, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter are reporting that Balor is very happy on NXT and will continue to help move the brand forward in 2016.

LONG-TERM HEALTH CONCERNS

He’ll be staying on NXT while they continue to focus on building new stars and his experience will be vital in the coming year. The problem is that despite his ever increasing popularity, Balor is 34-years-old, and the WWE want to capitalise on his popularity and the mystique surrounding his character before he calls it a day.

Along with this, there are concerns within the WWE regarding Balor’s long-term health. The concern revolves around his body breaking down as he’s the face of NXT and he will have a heavier workload as NXT will be touring even more in 2016.

It’s no secret that he’s being groomed for the main roster, and he’s more than ready for that move. However, they can’t waste more time with him as there’s a risk of him breaking down on NXT and won’t be able to make a lasting impact on the main roster.

BAYLEY – MAIN ROSTER STAR OR HUGE FLOP?

Bayley is in a similar situation to Balor as she’s also reported to be very happy with where she is on NXT. The entire division is revolving around her, and she puts on incredible matches, why wouldn’t she be happy there?

The talk within the WWE is that they believe one of two things will happen with Bayley for when she does move up to the main roster. The feeling is that she will go on to become the greatest female competitor in WWE history – a massive statement – or she will be a huge flop.

Last year it was revealed that Bayley is being compared to John Cena when it comes to merchandise sales and the level of popularity, especially with the young female audience. The WWE face an enormous task to ensure she doesn’t flop on the main roster as there’s too much potential in her to succeed.

That means even more money for the WWE.

If these reports are anything to go by, then we should be prepared for Balor and Bayley to appear on the main roster very soon. Perhaps as early as the night after WrestleMania 32 as it’s now a matter of when, not if they move up to the main roster.
