Dortmund make statement concerning Aubameyang
Read most transfer columns and you’ll see that Arsenal have apparently registered an interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Probably just fanciful speculation, but, all the same, Dortmund have issued a response to the gossip via their chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke.
As relayed by Bild, the statement from Dortmund is that the club will never be dependent on one man, perhaps hinting that Aubameyang might be available for the market should a big enough offer come in.
"One must never make the mistake to believe that a club like BVB is dependent on a player. We are not dependent on anyone," he is said to have told Bild.

Moving on, another transfer rumour from the weekend looks at the idea that Arsenal have an interest in Fulham star Moussa Dembele.
The Mirror say the Gunners are one of the clubs chasing him, with the forward rated at around £12million. Let us know what you think in the comments box provided.
Elneny awaiting international clearance
Meanwhile, rounding us off nicely is the rumour that FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny is closing in on his expected move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Daily Mail have reported that the Egyptian has already passed his medical with the north London giants - this hasn’t yet been officially confirmed - and his transfer is only pending international clearance.
