Jim Tomsula sacked as San Francisco 49ers coach

Published 1 Comments

It wouldn’t really feel right if there wasn’t a big-name sacking on black Monday in the NFL. Well, Jim Tomsula is the man who has footed the bill this time around, with the San Francisco 49ers having relieved him of his duties following a season in which he managed a record of 5-11 as head coach. The Niners have confirmed the decision and are now apparently exploring their options for his replacement. It’s also reported that Chip Kelly’s representatives have been in touch with the franchise about him filling the void. Meanwhile, Johnny Manziel may be in hot water after apparently being spotted at a Las Vegas casino on the eve of the Cleveland Browns season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The quarterback has concussion, so wouldn’t have featured in the 28-12 loss anyway, but things could get considerably worse for him if it turns out he was in Vegas without permission from the Browns.
