Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants parted ways on Monday after 12 seasons and two Super Bowl trophies.

In his parting press conference, Coughlin struggled to hold back the tears as he said goodbye to the dynasty that he had created with the G-Men in New York.

Whilst his presser was full of emotion from not just the coach, but Eli Manning as well, it was nowhere near close to the best moment of the whole thing. That came when Coughlin totally ignored Giants owner John Mara.

While Manning was sad to see his old coach go, there definitely seemed to be some tension in the air during his farewell news conference at the team's practice facility.

As Coughlin walked down the steps in the auditorium following the end of his speech, he came to Mara, who looked as if he was expecting a handshake – and walked straight past him.

Coughlin not being best pleased with Mara would lend credence to the feeling that this wasn't exactly TC's decision entirely to move on. It also plays into the fact that Coughlin has said he could go on
