Zinedine Zidane was appointed head coach of Real Madrid earlier this week, so it was inevitable that an old video like this would suddenly appear out of nowhere.
It’s been on YouTube for a good few years now - the clip below was uploaded in December 2011 - but the 7,000 views it has to date is bound to grow exponentially over the coming weeks.
The reason? Well, Zidane admits his favourite Spanish club as a child growing up wasn’t Real Madrid - but rather their fierce rivals Barcelona. Oops. (Scroll down this page to see the video).

Of course, Zidane had no idea at the time that he would not only go on to play for Real Madrid for five years but also become assistant manager and then head coach of the European giants.
The former midfielder, undoubtedly one of the best footballers of all time, was playing for Juventus when he revealed his admiration for the Catalan club.
Video: Zidane reveals Barcelona admiration
"As a child, in Italy I supported Juventus and in Spain, Barcelona," Zidane told reporters - per the Mirror - during his time in Turin.
Zidane is firmly Real Madrid these days
Barça didn’t enjoy a huge amount of success during the 1980s - the decade Zidane was a teenager - compared to the 1990s and 2000s, but they still managed to capture the imagination of one of the game’s modern greats.
Now, though, Zidane is firmly a Real Madrid man - and has been since he joined the club for a world-record fee back in 2001.
He will take charge of Los Blancos for the first time this weekend against Deportivo at the Bernabeu.
