Arsenal want Wojciech Szczesny to return this summer

Published Add your comment

The Arsenal faithful would be forgiven for thinking that they’d never see Wojciech Szczesny standing in the Emirates Stadium goalmouth again, but they’d probably be wrong. The Mirror are today claiming that the Gunners want the Polish stopper back this summer so he can deputise for Petr Cech next season. David Ospina, meanwhile, could be moving on having been glued to the substitutes bench, leaving a gap in Arsene Wenger’s squad. Szczesny is far from a favourite in north London, but can he have an Arsenal career yet? Let us know thoughts in the comments box. Elsewhere, Nigerian striker Austin Amutu has claimed Wenger is interested in landing him, stating it’s his dream to play for Arsenal. The little known 22-year-old could be lying, but he believes he’s not far away from realising that ambition. Hmmm.
